    Sundance Square Plaza
    Project Description

Sundance Square is the central gathering space in the rich fabric of downtown Fort Worth, Texas. MVLA was chosen to design a plaza with maximum flexibility to accommodate an expanded program of activities for the city center. On the west side of the Plaza, an interactive fountain fronts the stage of the new Westbrook Building. The fountain can be turned off to provide seating and viewing space for performances. The east side of the Plaza centers on four great umbrellas that open and close according to the day and season. North of the umbrellas a multipurpose pavilion supports an outdoor terrace where a wave fountain forms the edge.
