Jieya Yu finds renewal by immersing herself in nature, fueling her passion for creating outdoor spaces that are both healing and inspiring. With a deep concern for individual experiences, she strives to infuse authenticity, belonging, and empathy into her work, believing that landscapes impact people both physically and spiritually.
Jieya earned her Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Virginia in 2022, where she developed a keen interest for cultural landscapes. She enjoys the process of uncovering the unique character of each place and translating intangible qualities into tangible, detailed designs.
Her diverse professional experiences in Seattle, Aspen, and Shanghai exposed her to a wide range of projects, including urban planning, parks, city streets, campuses, and commercial spaces. Prior to this, she received her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Beijing Forestry University in 2019. She has green fingers and enjoys music, road trips, and playing badminton.
