ANA QUINTANA ZAZURCA

ASSOCIATE

Ana’s passion for improving people's lives leads her to actively explore design, advocacy, and engagement strategies for gender equity in the public realm. She does so by developing inclusive, accessible environments; participating in conferences and panels; and constantly engaging with her love for architecture and art.

Ana was born in Spain, where she earned a Bachelor and Master of Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC, ETSAB) in 2008. She also studied at the University Technische Universität Berlin under a European Mobility Fellowship. During this time, she received the Award of Distinction from the ETSAB Excellence Jury and the Award of the Association of Young Architects of Catalonia.

Over time, Ana’s interest in cities and their social, ecological, and symbolic complexity encouraged her to pursue landscape architecture. She received her masters in the subject from the UPC, ETSAB in 2013. Ana's experiences as an architect and landscape architect have included key collaborations with prestigious studios in Barcelona that focused on urban planning and urban ecology. She has also been a finalist and winner of several European competitions over the past few years. Ana came to MVLA in 2015, and has been involved with vibrant campus and urban projects ever since.
